Miriam is a warm, energetic therapist experienced in working with diverse individuals and communities. She is known for her compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy. Following the completion of a BA in Sociology, Miriam attended the Addiction: Treatment and Prevention program at Georgian College and then earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Niagara University (Lewiston, NY).

Miriam is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member in good standing of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.

​Miriam prioritizes a therapeutic relationship based on equality and respect as well as providing a warm and empowering therapy experience. Her approach to therapy is integrative and at its core, person and strength focused. Miriam uses a variety of evidence based treatments including but not limited Person-Centered therapy, Narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, CBT, mindfulness and compassion focused treatments, and Motivational Interviewing. ​ Miriam specializes in the areas of addiction, anxiety, depression, shame, emotional overwhelm, stress management, self-acceptance and compassion.

Laurynn is a genuine, passionate, and open-minded therapist who has practice working with youth, emerging adults and adults from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. Through her approach, she fosters a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy and collaboration to support individuals in their journey towards greater insight, healing, and fulfillment. She has experience working alongside individuals who tenaciously navigate life challenges and is especially experienced in working with anxiety, relationships, and gender & sexual diversity. Laurynn also supports people struggling with emotional overwhelm, chronic distraction, self-doubt, complex trauma, grief, and depression.

Laurynn believes that within each of us exists a wealth of knowledge, which when accessed, can bring us towards greater alignment with our identity, life-meaning, self-concept, and success. Using a strengths-based orientation, Laurynn cultivates a therapeutic relationship grounded in acceptance and empowerment. Her integrative and trauma-informed approach to therapy is uniquely tailored to each client based on client preference and need. Some of the evidence-based treatments she utilizes in therapy include Internal Family Systems, Somatic psychotherapy, Systemic psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based therapies, Gestalt therapy, Narrative therapy, DBT, and CBT.

Following the completion of her BA in Psychology, Laurynn went on to earn her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Niagara University. Nisha comes to Human Connections with over a decade of work and training in human services and is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Masters prepared Psychologist. She provides therapy to all ages, and draws on various therapeutic modalities including but not limited to trauma therapy, EMDR, Narrative, Guided mindfulness practice, Gestalt, Art, Somatic, and Emotion Focused Therapy.

Nisha has worked with communities, organisations, children and adults who reflect diversity in nature. She is fascinated by science behind the mind, body and spirit, resiliency factors, the positive impact of mindfulness, Indigenous healing practices, and nature as medicine. She has dedicated her work experiences to personal and professional growth that helps her support people through their life bumps compassionately. Beyond her work as a psychologist, Nisha is a humanitarian at heart, having lived and worked in 6 of the 7 continents teaching English, supervising UN projects and gathering intercultural wisdom to share. She continues to learn Spanish and French following her Mother tongue of Gujarati.
